Premium PI®filter cartridge
At the “heart” of the MAUNAWAI® water filter system is the multi-layer Premium PI®filter cartridge:
- 1) Activated Carbon to remove pesticides, heavy metals and other pollutants.
- 2) PI® ceramic balls, PI® and tourmaline ceramics to re-mineralize the water.
- 3) Quartz sand and coral sand to restore the natural water structure.
- 4) Zeolite elements and magnets remove arsenic and ammonium, while improving the flavor and energizing the water.
- 5) ‘Magic ball' bioceramics and Alcalina bioceramics to set the right alkalinity.
- 6) EM ceramics and calcium stabilises the relationship between calcium and magnesium in the water, giving the water back its natural balance.

At the heart of the MAUNAWAI® filter, more than 20 different ceramics work with precise coordination and dosage. In a special and complex process, a porous, yet mechanically stable ceramic matrix is produced. Here, old clay is burned at temperatures of around 1,000 degrees Celsius with natural properties and information that trigger an ion exchange and long-wave infrared radiation in the water. In this way, unsuitable (unnatural) information is removed and the molecular structure (cluster) of the water is restored to its "original state“.
